2025 NUCA SCHOLARSHIPS ARE NOW OPEN
Deadline for Application - April 18th, 2025
NUCA of Eastern WA & North ID is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for our 2025
Scholarship Program. Funded by the NUCA Associates & Education Committees, (1) One scholarship in the amount of $2,500, (1) One scholarship in the amount of $1,500 and (1) One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 are to be announced at the Dozer Day Friday Night Sponsor BBQ to be held Friday May 2nd, 2025 at Cabela's State line.
Who is eligible?
Any high school senior whose parent or guardian is employed by a current NUCA member company in good standing may apply. Applicant can also be a grandchild/spouse of a current NUCA member. Applicants may only win a scholarship two times. Applicants must be a currently enrolled or graduating high school senior, or a currently enrolled college/ university/trade school student-to include CDL training. Student employees, including students who work part time are eligible, as are dependents of NUCA Chapter Executive Directors.
Our goal
The goal of the “Next Generation NUCA Scholarship” is to foster the education of young adults so that they may grow to be future leaders within the utility construction industry - carrying on in our industry that needs the NEXT generation.
Let your employees know they are eligible!
A link to the scholarship application is below. Please encourage any high-school-aged employee or your company employees with children in high school to apply today! You can share this information with a brief note advising them that children of all company employees are eligible, so they are aware of this crucial member benefit.
Students will need ample time to complete the application. While the economy is still recovering, college tuition rates continue to rise. Even a $1,000 scholarship can make a big difference to many families. The online application must be complete and submitted online 11:59 pm EDT April 18th, 2025.

2024 Next Generation Scholarship Recipients
Due to a great 2023 Dozer Day turnout and some wonderful fundraising events NUCA EWNI was again able to offer an additional scholarship for our 2024 applicants. Congratulations to $2500 recipient Carter Albertson, $1500 recipient Brook Morgan and $1000 recipient Tayla Eliason...we are happy to be able to encourage the next generation with their educational journey. Carter is our first industry award recipient, we encourage ALL NUCA members and their families to apply and want to remind you all that these funds are NOT school specific, they can be used for traditional next steps such as 4 year school or more industry specific training to include welding school, CDL training and more. NUCA is committed to our future workforce with an industry focus but not limited to industry only. The Next Generation Scholarship fund is just one of the many benefits of being a NUCA member.
